Rubber Flooring – The Options

Rubber flooring is made from a rubber tree. There are many advantages to having rubber flooring oppose to other types of flooring such as it is easy to install and maintain. It is anti static opposed to carpet and it can insulate sound and vibration. Rubber flooring is a hard wearing material to have for a flooring and so it is a popular choice for working environments, it is resistant against fading as well.

Rubber Flooring Tiles

There is a whole host of options when it comes to rubber flooring such as with tile flooring you have the option of slate effect tile, solid smooth, and round stud tile. With each option you also have a choice of colour to suit the theme of your home or work place for example with the slate effect tile you have the colour choice of light grey, slate grey, and dark grey. With the round stud tile rubber flooring there is a massive range of colours to choose from including orange, blue, shell, black, tan, acorn, mango and many more.

Rubber Flooring Sheets

As well as tile rubber flooring there is also the option of sheets. Solid smooth sheets are different to that of tiles as they are large sheets that cover the floor in one rather than laying lots of smaller tiles. Sheet rubber flooring is easy to clean and is very hardwearing. Due to the smooth look of the flooring it can make the room look very modern and contemporary.

The flooring is laid with adhesive especially made for acrylic. Using a trowel the glue is applied to the flooring tile, or sheet, and the rubber is glued to the floor. Rubber flooring is known for its ease of being laid. Special cleaning products can be purchased for cleaning the floor. Due to the rubber the floor is very easy to clean and so is very hygienic.
